Dr. Ravindra Nanda is Professor Emeritus, Former UConn Alumni Endowed Chair and Head Division of Orthodontics, University of Connecticut, Farmington, Connecticut, U.S.A.
He has authored with his colleagues more than 300 scientific papers. He is Editor-in-Chief of Progress in Orthodontics. He is also an associate editor of Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
He is Past President of North Atlantic Component of Angle Society. He is an Honorary Fellow of WFO. He has given numerous named lectures at national and international societies including Mershon Lecture and Angle Heritage Award Lecture at American Association of Orthodontics and Sheldon Friel Lecture at 2011 EOS Congress. He has been recognized with various awards as well as Honorary Memberships from numerous international orthodontic organizations.
Dr.Nanda has authored ten text books.His recent book is Temporary Anchorage Devices (with Drs. Uribe and Yadav) and new upcoming book Principles and Biomechanics of Aligner Orthodontic Treatment (with Castroflorio, Garino and Ojima).

Open bite can be found with all classes of malocclusions. Treatment modalities to correct open bite can be based on associated skeletal, dental, soft tissue and functional problems. This presentation will describe six different modalities to correct open bite malocclusion.
