How to avoid complications with art of orthodontics ‘Biomechanics’
‘Biomechanics in Orthodontics’ means ‘Biomechanics of the Maxillo-Mandibular Complex, the Main Element of the Stomatognathic System.’ The contemporary multidisciplinary medical approach directs orthodontists to know the maxillo-mandibular complex and its functional matrix as a whole, to understand well and make diagnosis and treatment plans in this direction. This presentation points out that biomechanics for orthodontics is not “only wires and wire bending.” Moreover, it is to comprehend the biomechanics of the entire stomatognathic system and that only with this approach, physiological, functional, aesthetic, and long-term permanent results can be obtained with a minor complication.
